Association of Gravestone
Studies: The Association for Gravestone Studies (AGS) was founded
in 1977 for the purpose of furthering the study and preservation of
gravestones. AGS is an international organization with an interest in
gravemarkers of all periods and styles. Through its publications,
conferences, workshops and exhibits, AGS promotes the study of
gravestones from historical and artistic perspectives, expands public
awareness of the significance of historic gravemarkers, and encourages
individuals and groups to record and preserve gravestones. At every
opportunity, AGS cooperates with groups that have similar interests.
Atlantic Canada
Virtual Archives: Atlantic Canada Virtual Archives is
designed to make some of Atlantic Canada's rich archival sources
available on the Internet. Letters and diaries of two families - the
Loyalist Winslows and the Pictou County McQueens - are now accessible
both in image and text.

Death Penalty Index:
The aim of this site is to list all persons
executed in Canada. Names of most persons
executed under Canadian jurisdiction between
1867 and 1962 plus many others before Confederation
have been found. We are in the process of
entering the names from our database onto
the site. To date 836 names are entered.
Canadian Society
of Mayflower Descendants: The CSMD is an active society interested
in hearing from those of you who are Mayflower descendants. Membership
is open to any person over the age of eighteen who can document their
blood line descent back to a passenger aboard the ship Mayflower which
arrived in New England in 1620.
Down to the Sea in Ships:
A wonderful website dedicated to the man men who were lost at sea, most
of them fisherman from all along the Eastern Sea Board of the United

Free BMD: FreeBMD is an
ongoing project, the aim of which is to transcribe the Civil
Registration index of births, marriages and deaths for England and
Wales, and to provide free Internet access to the transcribed records.
It is a part of the FreeUKGEN family, which also includes FreeCEN
(Census data) and FreeREG (Parish Registers).

Morse of San Francisco, USA, has created dozens of links to databases,
including the 1901 Canadian Census, 1841-1901 British Census and the
1901 British Census. The entire website is searchable.
Immigrant Servants Database:
A searchable database to help locate immigrants who arrived in the
United States between 1607-1820 as indentured servants. It is estimated
75% of immigrants arrived in this manner. About 16,051 names are
included in the database that continues to grow.
Information Wanted: A Database
of Advertisements for Irish Immigrants Published in the Boston Pilot: From October 1831
through October 1921, the Boston Pilot newspaper printed a “Missing
Friends” column with advertisements from people looking for “lost”
friends and relatives who had emigrated from Ireland to the United
States. This extraordinary collection of 31,711 records is available
here as a searchable online database, which contains a text record for
each ad that appeared in the Pilot.

Loyalist Studies: Within you will find a combination of information
believed to be unique among sites dealing with the Loyalists of the
American Revolution. The website’s goal is to provide reliable, high
quality material on the Loyalists in the fields of: Military
Research, Genealogy and Living History. While the material contained
herein is for use by anyone interested in this aspect of the American
Revolution, it is primarily intended for those with a working
background in Loyalist studies.
Passengers
List 1865 to 1922: Passenger lists (RG 76) were the official
immigration documents from 1865 to 1935. The lists contain information
such as the name, age, country of origin, occupation and destination of
each passenger. The lists are organized by port and date of arrival.
This database provides access to passenger lists for the ports of
Québec (1865-1921), Halifax (1881-1912, to 1922 shortly), to
Saint John (1900-1912), North Sydney (1906-1908), Vancouver (1905-1912)
and Victoria (1905 to 1912), shortly.
