2009, Saturday January 31 (1:30 pm): Book Launch: Second Volume of Erin’s Sons; Irish Arrivals in Atlantic Canada, 1761-1853 by Terrence Punch, Captain William Spry Public Library, 10 Kidston Road, Halifax, NS: An event to celebrate the launching of the new book will be held at the Captain William Spry branch of the Halifax Regional Library on Saturday January 31, 2009, beginning at 1:30 p.m. The author will speak about matters Irish and will gladly autograph books purchased. 2009, Saturday July 18 to Sunday July 19, 2009: Bergeron Reunion - An Acadian Family, Fredericton, NB: The Bergeron-Damboise families are planning, in conjunction with The Society of History of the River Saint Jean (SHRSJ), a commemoration of the 250th year anniversary of the destruction of the village. We are calling for all Acadians to rally with us. This calling includes all Acadians who are descended from the Godin, Saindon, Pare, Bergeron and St Aubin Families, as well as any other Acadian family group.
